History of our Club
More than three decades ago, the spirit of polo took shape in a special place, at La Plata Polo Club. It was on August 5, 1989 when a group of passionate polo players decided to join together and establish a space where they could intensively enjoy their beloved sport. Its objective was clear: to promote this sport and compete in tournaments organized by the Argentine Polo Association and other related clubs. With this end in mind, the club joined the prestigious association.
Among the founders of the club, three names stand out that will resonate in the history of polo: Carlos Condomi Alcorta (P), Carlos María Condomi Alcorta and Lucas Condomi Alcorta. Coming from a family with an outstanding career in polo, they were true pioneers of this sport in the city of La Plata. His passion and dedication helped shape what we know today as La Plata Polo Club.
In its first years, the club was called Club de Polo La Potranca de La Plata, and its activities took place on a property located on Route 215 km 32.5 in the district of La Plata. However, in 1994, a new chapter began to be written when the club moved to the beautiful Estancia San Matías property, located at 167 and 74 in La Plata. It was at this time that it adopted its current name, "La Plata Polo Club."
Since then, this club has evolved to become a welcoming space open to all people who wish to practice polo and horse riding. Here, in the middle of a family and friendly atmosphere, surrounded by the imposing beauty of nature and the Argentine countryside, you will find your place to live and breathe the spirit of polo. Activities
We have a wide variety of activities to enjoy throughout the year. Our main activities focus on the practice of polo at different levels, with the participation of approximately 45 players.
In addition to polo, we are also dedicated to the training and training of polo horses, ensuring that each of our horses is in optimal conditions to practice this very special sport.
Our riding and polo school It is the perfect place to learn and perfect your skills in the world of horse riding and polo. We have expert instructors who will guide you every step of the way.
We also carry out internal practices and tournaments, giving you the opportunity to compete and improve your skills in a friendly and exciting environment.
